The well-known actor and director, Anastas Nika, has passed away at the age of 63.

The sad news was confirmed by his son, Enea Nika.

The Albanian actor and director has lost the battle with the serious illness, from which he had been suffering for a long time.

He died in the Athens hospital and the funeral ceremony will be held tomorrow in Saranda.

" Dear friends,

It is with regret that I inform you that father, Anastas Nika this morning joined God in the hospital of Athens.

We are waiting for condolences at "Bebri Funeral Home" tomorrow from 8:30 to 13:00 (on the street in front of the cemetery).

The burial will be tomorrow at 13:00 in the Saranda cemetery.

With respect, the Nika family! ", announced the actor's son.

Anastas Nika has performed with great professionalism and passion about 130 roles on stage, cinema and television.

He has performed in great classic works such as: "King Lear" (Shakespeare), "The Witches of Salem" (Arthur Myler), "The Microbourgeois" (Maxim Gorky), "Antigone" (Sophocles), "The Man Who Saw Death With His Eyes" ” (Viktor Eftimiu), “Not all thieves come for bad” (Dario Fo), “Diary of a Madman” (Nikolaj Gogol), “Engagement” (Anton Chekhov), “My Wife's Husband” (Miro Gavran , Croatian), other.

Also, as a director, Nika has staged more than 70 works and performances of different genres and types, such as pop librettos, mass shows, fashion shows, festivals and activities for children, folkloric activities, poetic theaters and comedies, among them: "Groom from America", "Mother's Bequest", "The Folly of a Wise Man" and others./ CNA.al
