Gjirokastra's Folklore Festival brings down the curtain/ 8 colorful nights,

After an eight-year absence, the 11th edition of the National Folk Festival of Gjirokastra has opened.

Gjirokastra Castle was the one that welcomed traditional music lovers but also many tourists and citizens who enjoyed 8 nights of the Festival.

The last night was a show that brought Kosovo and Albania together with songs and dances from the Albanian provinces.

The evening ended with the performances of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances of Albania and the "Shota" Ensemble of Kosovo.

The two ensembles performed as a single troupe, songs and dances of different provinces.

Invited to the closing night of the Folklore Festival of Gjirokastra was "La nuova Orchestra italiana di Renzo Arbore", the Italian group that has been echoing traditional Neapolitan music for 32 years.

For eight consecutive nights, 1200 artists gave extraordinary emotions by conveying the values ??of Albanian music, tradition and folklore.

Special emotions have also been given by the small artists, who were numerous in this edition.
