"The opposition's victory in 2027 depends on the candidates"/

The leader of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, Agron Duka, estimates that the opposition has a real opportunity to take several municipalities in the 2027 local elections, but everything, according to him, is related to the selection of competing figures.

In an interview with Klan News, he emphasized that local elections are not decided solely by parties, but mainly by the profile and credibility of candidates on the ground.

Duka admitted that the opposition is currently not in a favorable position on a large scale, however, he mentioned concrete cases where it has shown potential, such as in Kavaja, as well as opportunities to be competitive in Durrës.

Regarding his possible candidacy in Durres, he did not give a final answer, but left the scenario open.

According to Duka, such a decision will be made based on political calculations and concrete chances of victory, not ruling out running under the banner of the party he leads.
