The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, responded to the political accusations leveled against him and the special prosecutors.

Dumani said in a media release that SPAK has provided evidence that there is no political agenda or agenda for the persons it will investigate.

He stated that the prosecutors deal with the evidence and are independent from politics.

"I had a part of the files in the investigation even without taking the direction of SPAK. One of the promises I made in KLP was that I would continue to investigate the issues I had in the investigation. There are other issues that have led to the expansion of the investigative team. All prosecutors and staff have input. Regardless of the accusations, we have given evidence that we have no political agenda, or a plan that today we will investigate a person from this political entity, and tomorrow someone from another political entity. We deal with the evidence. We have done this and we will do it. SPAK is independent from politics and this is given to it by the Constitution and the law. Prosecutors exercise their functions removed from politics. My reactions are institutional and not emotional. I have powers, but they are reduced in relation to the prosecutors of the cases," Dumani said.
