"No high official is in Albania"/ Rama replies to Ambassador Yuri Kim

Yesterday, American Ambassador Yuri Kim held meetings with several judges in the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime. 

Kim criticized their work, stating that "no high official has been punished in Albania".

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the international conference within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Constitutional Court. 

In his speech, Rama expressed that he is in a difficult position in front of the judicial power, but also foreign diplomats, giving an indirect answer to Ambassador Yuri Kim.

"I appreciate this invitation, so I came to apologize that I can't stay longer than the word. Thanking you for the invitation, you have presented me with a not simple dilemma. Although the sepepi is festive, the exercise is subtle and the scene unusual. The head of the executive power in front of the judicial power, in front of foreign diplomats who even have a special luxury that when they want they can share with the public the joy and sorrow of the court's decisions, which for me is not advisable. A critical speech remains as advisable as imitating diplomats when they are publicly excited about court decisions. I will try to avoid this trap as well", said Rama./CNA.al
