Summer Day Activities/Here are the traffic restrictions in Tirana and Elbasan

As part of "Summer Day 2026", there will be restrictions on vehicle traffic on some road segments in the capital.

The measures have been set for the smooth running of activities organized by the Municipality of Tirana, as follows:

From March 13, 2026, 10:00 PM, to March 14, 6:00 PM:

- "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard from the Ministry of Interior, to the beginning of the former "Hotel Dajti";

- “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard from the former “Dajti Hotel” Bridge to the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” Street;

- “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard from the intersection of “Ismail Qemali” street to the intersection with “Gjergj Filipi” street;

- "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard from the intersection of "Gjergj Filipi" street to the beginning of "Mother Teresa" square;

From March 13, 2026, 12:00, to March 15, 02:00

-“March 4 Martyrs” Street from the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” Street, to the intersection with “Brigada VIII” Street;

-“Pjetër Bogdani” Street from the intersection with “Sami Frashëri” Street, to the intersection with “Gjin Bue Shpata” Street.

The circulation of vehicles, emergency vehicles and State Police will be carried out according to the movement plan, as follows:

On “Lek Dukagjini” street;

On “Abdyl Frashëri” street;

On “Pope John Paul II” street;

On “Sami Frashëri” street;

On the “Jeanne D'Arc” boulevard;

On "Bajram Curri" Boulevard;

On “Myslym Shyri” street;

On "Abdi Toptani" street.

The route of movement of urban lines will continue as follows:

Line No. 13 “New Tirana” and Line No. 2 “Teg – Old Sauk – Zoo – Former Train Station”, will divert to “Willson” Square and “Zogu I” Boulevard.

Restrictions in ELBASAN

Elbasan Police have announced that they have undertaken a special plan of measures to guarantee the smooth running of the activities organized for Summer Day.

On March 13 and 14, 2026, there will be temporary traffic restrictions on several road segments in the city.

Also, the road segment from "Elbasan Arena" to the "1 Majit" roundabout will be blocked for 48 hours.

During these days, parking of vehicles in the city center and along "Aqif Pasha" Boulevard is prohibited, while Traffic Police services will be present to guide and divert traffic.

To avoid traffic and facilitate circulation, vehicles will be directed towards designated parking spaces, according to the directions from which they come into the city. Specifically:

vehicles coming from the east (Grocer's Bridge), will be parked at the Goods Park;

vehicles coming from the south (Cërrikut Intersection) will be parked at the Vocational Training School and at the new parking lot near the public cemetery;

Vehicles coming from the west (Flower Crossroads) will be parked at the "Sali Ceka" vocational school, near the Customs, as well as in the parking lot near the train station.

Buses on the Tirana - Elbasan line will be parked near the Customs, near the vocational school, while buses on the Elbasan - Cërrik line will be parked at the former workshop, on "Ura" street, near the industrial market./CNA
