Action in Elbasan/ Drugs, weapons and a sum of money seized

An anti-drug operation was conducted this evening in Elbasan, where it is reported that three people were arrested. According to information, the operation was conducted by the Elbasan police in cooperation with the Shkodra police.

Tens of kilograms of narcotics, a firearm with ammunition, a large amount of money, and several mobile phones with Albanian and foreign SIM cards were seized during the operation.

The police are working to identify all persons involved in drug trafficking. It is suspected that this criminal group has been carrying out illegal activities for a long time in at least three regions of the country. An official announcement from the police is awaited for further details.  /CNA
