The director of the Tirana Waterworks, Elton Kacidhja, appeared this Wednesday at the Special Prosecutor's Office.

It is known that Kacidhja was summoned for the "5D" affair, a file that is being investigated by prosecutor Klodian Braho.

He gave clarifications this morning about this file, but also about other affairs in the Tirana Municipality of Erion Veliajt.

The breach is implicated in the "5D" affair with the 420,000 euro tender for the reconstruction of the water supply network on the street: "Aleksander Moisiu".

According to the investigation file, Kacidhja awarded this tender to the company "5D", which was previously called "VAS Konstruksion sh.pk", despite having lower offers.

As for the "5D" file, behind the bars are the former directors of the Municipality of Tirana, Redi Molla, Mariglen Qato and Taulant Tushe.

They were initially accused of being involved in corruption by shadowing the 5D company that received work from institutions they have run.  

On the other hand, Tushe is also accused of the Tirana incinerator. There are accusations and investigations against other directors of the Municipality of Tirana./ CNA
