Allaman Allamani

Veterinarian graduated in Florence, Isuf Allamani, is one of the victims of the communist regime in Albania.

Isuf Allamani had created a family of his own, after meeting his wife Fiorentine Leonella in Italy, with whom he also has a son, Allamani.

But in November 1944, when the veterinarian came to Albania after graduation, he was shot without trial by communist forces on the outskirts of Tirana.

A year later, Leonella and her son left for Italy.

On the 80th anniversary of his father's murder, Allaman Allamani has given a touching message, calling for peace.

"November is a painful month. Albania, in particular, remembers many people killed by the dictatorship. It was and remains a great pain. Among the people who suffered from the murder of my father Isuf, was my mother Fiorentine Leonella. After running away with me as a very young baby to Italy, she kept my memory in her mind and heart. She then left this world very sad because she never saw her husband for 46 years. Even for me, November is a month of pain, cold, dark, because I never knew my father.

But that's life and history.

The person who killed him also died after him; both the government and the regime that supported that murderer are dead. Now what is left? What remains is the memory and the lesson that our fathers and my father left us and we after them try to pass on to the generations that come after us. Let's try to bring peace and live in forgiveness, forgiveness for all those who surrendered to arrogance, fear, hatred in that time and in our time," said Allamani's message./ CNA
