DP leader Sali Berisha has accused the government of using pension funds to pay for Kanye West's concert, totaling 4.2 million euros.

"Edi Rama used his criminal records to vote in parliament for the gift of money he stole from Albanian pensioners, to be given to Kanye West."

A concert that aimed above all to extinguish or silence the most powerful peaceful uprising that Albania has known since the 90s. In addition to this, it used the most brutal violence, using poisonous chemicals like those used in the trenches of war against enemies, in the youth civic protest.

"It should be emphasized that the waves of this movement are not only not fading away but are becoming increasingly shocking for Rama," Berisha said.

Further, he commented on Rama's statements at the group and government meetings, calling him two-faced, cynical, and a bankrupt man.

"You who followed him yesterday to the Brigades Palace, saw there a two-faced, a cynic and a bankrupt man. A man who completely ignored the legitimate demands of the protesters that have been made for two months.

"The most basic demands of this protest are 5 points, the first of which is Edi Rama resigns. There is no more legitimate demand than that Rama is not a legitimate prime minister," said the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha./ CNA
