Debate on Territorial Reform/Initiative in defense of Prrenjas

A civic initiative with the aim of protecting the future of the Prrenjas Municipality will come to life this Saturday, at 6:00 PM, in the premises of the Prrenjas Cultural Center, where the "Alliance for the Protection of Prrenjas" will be officially created.

Through a public call, the organizers invite all citizens, regardless of political persuasion or religious affiliation, to become part of this initiative, which aims to unite intellectuals, teachers, historians, artists, athletes, lawyers, economists, engineers, entrepreneurs, farmers, representatives of civil society and any citizen who wants to make their contribution to Prrenjas.

According to the organizers, the meeting will serve to draft a detailed draft, based on facts and arguments, which aims to argue for the need for the Prrenjas Municipality to continue to exist and develop as a separate unit of local government.

The document is expected to highlight all the potential and assets of the area, including education, sports, culture, art, history, tourism, traditions and folklore, agriculture and livestock, paper figures and cultural heritage, mineral resources, as well as important natural values ??such as the Shebenik-Rrajcë National Park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Sopot Park in Stravaj, along with any other development potential of Prrenjas.

The organizers announce that, upon completion, the draft will be sent to national and international institutions, as well as diplomatic missions, with the aim of ensuring that the arguments and demands of the community are heard in decision-making processes.

Their message emphasizes that, when it comes to Prrenjas, citizens must put aside political divisions and unite around a common goal: protecting the identity, history, assets, and future of the municipality.
