Today, the next hearing will take place at the Administrative Court for the ridiculous lawsuit filed by Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Tirana arrested on 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, against SPAK prosecutor Ols Dado.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, accused of 5 serious criminal offenses, through a ridiculous lawsuit, is seeking the invalidity of the appointment of Ols Dado as prosecutor.

Since his arrest in February 2025, Veliaj has waged a campaign of attacks against SPAK, prosecutor Ols Dado, and judges.

The arrested mayor of Tirana has used all the schemes, scenarios and tools to attack the prosecutor, starting from articles in media paid for by him, to lobbying for reports filled with lies that have been exposed one after another, stating that prosecutor Ols Dado is a property developer and an active member of the Democratic Party.

For 341 days, the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has not released any documents regarding the request in which he claims that the prosecutor requested additional information on the construction permit.

As for the other accusation that he is an active member of the DP, this is another big lie, as the leader of the DP is under investigation by SPAK and under security measures.

Today, Erion Veliaj is expected to make his next appearance at the Administrative Court, where even though he filed the lawsuit himself, he continues to use schemes to delay court proceedings just as he does at the GJKKO, only with the difference that he does not go there because he is afraid of facing the accusations, evidence and facts that have been found against him for corruption, laundering the proceeds of crime, abuse of office, concealing assets and bringing prohibited items into the cell./ CNA
