"A vehicle is not a weapon!"/ Lamallari warns drivers

The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, has reacted through a status on social networks to serious violations of road traffic rules, emphasizing that driving vehicles at extreme speeds endangers the lives of drivers and other road users.

Publishing data from the State Police's last-hour checks, the minister announced that last night alone, intelligent devices recorded 206 cases of vehicles moving at speeds from 150 to 212 km/h on road segments from Lezha to Fier, where the maximum allowed limit is 90 km/h.

Lamallari describes this behavior as unacceptable and a serious threat to road safety, emphasizing that the vehicle should not be turned into a deadly weapon against oneself and others.

Lamallari warns that there will be zero tolerance for drivers who treat the roads like race tracks, underlining that modern police technology identifies every violation and that administrative and legal measures will be implemented without compromise.
