New Parliament Building/Peleshi: Here's when the international competition

The Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, has announced that regarding the construction of the new building of the Albanian Parliament, the Assembly of Albania has collaborated with the National Territorial Planning Agency and the Albanian Investment Corporation.

Peleshi said that at the end of September, beginning of October, they will be ready to announce an international competition for a new building for the Albanian Parliament.

"Regarding our ambition for a new building of the Albanian Parliament, of the Assembly of Albania, we have built cooperation with the National Agency for Territorial Planning and the Albanian Investment Corporation. We have drawn up the terms of reference and have worked on them, also using the reference database from several architectural competitions of the past, which of course need another hand, for a refresh, especially in terms of new technologies that were not present at that time and are a new power today, and according to our planning and calendaring or economy of time, I believe that at the end of September, beginning of October, we will be ready to announce an international competition for a new building of the Albanian Parliament", said Peleshi./ CNA
