A SMARTPHONE app will be able to tell if you're too drunk to drive by listening to your own voice, writes The Sun.
Sensors in smart devices can help determine a person's level of alcohol intoxication based on changes in your voice, scientists say.
Participants in one study were each given an amount of alcohol. The research team used digital software to isolate the speaker's voices, divided them into one-second increments and analyzed measures such as frequency and pitch.
Researchers at Stanford Medicine in the United States and the University of Toronto in Canada conducted the study, including 18 adults aged 21 and older.
