Musk says new AI chatbot has 'a bit of humor'

Elon Musk has launched an AI chatbot called Grok on his social media site X, formerly Twitter, but so far it's only available to select users.

"In some important respects, it's the best currently out there," he posted on X, ahead of its release.

Musk boasted that Grok "loves sarcasm" and would answer questions with "a little humor."

Other models refuse to answer some questions, for example giving advice. But Musk said Grok will answer "spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems."

In a demonstration of the new tool, posted by Mr. Musk, Grok was asked for a step-by-step guide to producing cocaine.

He replied "just a moment while I'm making the recipe... because I'll totally help you with that," and listed generalized, non-useful information mixed with sarcastic suggestions, before warning against the idea.
