OFFICIAL/ Griezmann surprises with new team, ends up at Atletico Madrid

It's official! Antoine Griezmann will move to the United States to join Orlando City.

After the 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, Atlético Madrid gave the player permission to travel to finalize the contract.

The transfer will take place during the summer transfer window. Griezmann leaves as the top scorer in Atletico Madrid's history with 211 goals in 488 matches.

He has spent 10 seasons with the Madrid club, since transferring from Real Sociedad in 2014. During this period he has won three trophies, including the Europa League and the European Super Cup in 2018.

The 35-year-old has retired from the France national team, where he recorded 44 goals and 38 assists in 137 matches. Before leaving, he will return to training to prepare for the end of the season with Atlético Madrid.
