Manchester City win Carabao Cup, Arsenal lose final

Manchester City have been declared winners of the Carabao Cup for the ninth time in the club's history, after defeating Arsenal 2-0 in the grand final.

The match started with high pressure from the "Gunners", but goalkeeper James Trafford turned into an impenetrable wall, stopping dangerous shots from Havertz and Saka.

The second half was all about Pep Guardiola's team, with the talented Nico O'Reilly becoming the hero of the evening.

Within four minutes (60' and 64'), O'Reilly punished Arsenal twice: first by taking advantage of goalkeeper Kepa's insecurity and then with a precise header after Matheus Nunes' assist.

Despite Arsenal's efforts, where luck was not with Calafiori and Gabriel who hit the post and the crossbar, the result remained unchanged.

This is the 19th trophy for Pep Guardiola on the Citizens bench, once again confirming City's hegemony in English football.
