OFFICIAL/ Approaching the eighth in the transfer market, Chelsea can't stop

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Jorrel Hato from Ajax for a fee of €40 million, with the 19-year-old defender signing a contract until June 2032.

Hato has played 111 times for Ajax, scoring 4 goals and holding the captain's armband. He is also a member of the Netherlands national team, with 6 caps.

Chelsea have selected him to strengthen their defence, due to the possible departures of Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga, as well as the physical problems of Badiashile and Fofana.

Jorrel Hato plays as a central defender, but can also play on the left wing of defense. According to the club, the player will join the team this week. Coach Enzo Maresca was looking for exactly such a profile to consolidate the defensive department.
