Drastic decision from FIFA, 5-match suspension for the player at the World Cup

FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has taken a drastic decision against Qatari footballer Assim Madibo, suspending him for 5 matches after his horrific tackle in the match against Canada.

During that match, Madibo was immediately sent off for a serious foul on Ismael Koné, which ended with the Canadian footballer breaking his leg.

Although the Qatari midfielder went to the Canadian locker room immediately after the match to apologize to his rival, the world football governing body decided to severely punish him due to the consequences of the intervention.

Given that Qatar was officially eliminated from the World Cup after finishing last in the group stage, Madibo will serve out this suspension in his national team's next official matches, while legally having the right to appeal.
