Fans in trouble after the Tirana-Elbasani match

The match between Tirana and Elbasan, held at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium and ending with a 0-1 victory for the home team, was accompanied by legal measures for some of the fans present.

The State Police has officially announced that it has initiated criminal proceedings against 10 citizens, who are accused of disorderly conduct and failure to comply with the orders of law enforcement during a sporting activity.

According to the official announcement of the Police Commissariat No. 2 in Tirana, the investigative materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for citizens with the initials SN, AL, IS, KM, FE, NK, IM, M. Sh., Xh. Gj. and PB. These persons are suspected of having thrown hard objects on the playing field during the match, endangering the progress of the match and the safety of the players. The police also inform that the persons prosecuted have not obeyed the orders of the police officers engaged in security at the stadium.

This reaction by law enforcement agencies comes after tensions were observed both during the game and after its conclusion, where physical clashes were attempted between groups of fans.
