VIDEO/ Chaos in the derby! Fans invade the field after penalty loss

Drama, emotions and high tensions in the "Old Firm", where Celtic has managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup after defeating eternal rivals Rangers on penalties (4-2).

After regular time and extra time ended in a 0-0 draw, the fate of qualification was decided by penalty kicks, where mistakes by Tavernier and Gassama cost the home team dearly.

For Rangers, Albanian national team striker Nedim Bajrami came on in the 77th minute and was accurate in his penalty kick, but it was not enough to avoid elimination.

Immediately after the final whistle, the situation in the stadium spiraled out of control. Rangers fans, frustrated by the defeat to their historic opponents, invaded the pitch and attempted to invade the away stands to clash with Celtic fans.

The massive intervention of police forces was crucial to avoid a potential tragedy, creating a security cordon between the two sides in the middle of the field.
