"Are you defending the Qatari regime for the violation of rights?", Maluma revolts and abandons the interview

Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Lebanese singer Myriam Fares will open the biggest sports competition, the Qatar World Cup.

A day before the performance, the Colombian artist gave an interview to Israeli television. Journalist Moav Vardi asked Maluma what he thinks about the violation of human rights in Qatar.

"You know what I have to ask you. Shakira and Dua Lipa refused to participate in this World Cup because of Qatar's bad human rights record and obviously people are thinking, 'Maluma, don't you have problems with the violation of these issues in that country?'"

"Yes, but it's something I can't solve. I just go to enjoy life, to enjoy football and the football party. It's not something I really need to get into. I'm enjoying music and my beautiful life, playing football too," he replied.

Immediately afterwards, the journalist insisted on this issue again, claiming that with the singer's participation in the World Cup in Qatar "it would help the regime to cover up the situation".

"Do I have to answer this question?" Maluma asked.

The Colombian refused to answer and left, surprising the journalist and the followers.
