Neymar in Barcelona court, accused of fraud and two financial crimes...

Today begins the trial in Barcelona in the case of DIS, the company that had the rights to Neymar when he was a Santos player. The complaint has placed the PSG player, his parents, Barcelona, ??the Brazilian entity, former presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu on the bench. Those involved have already arrived at the premises of Spanish justice.

Neymar entered the courts around 09:45 in the morning, accompanied by his parents, who are also accused. The player of the Brazilian national team has asked the judge that today, and not on Friday as planned, to declare himself as a defendant, as he must return to Paris. Former Barca presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu have also been punctual in court.

According to DIS, Barcelona and Santos created a conspiracy so that he did not pay everything that corresponded to him for 40% of the player's rights. For this reason, he is accused of being involved in two crimes. The first of these is corruption between individuals and the second is fraud by means of contractual simulation.

For these two crimes, the Prosecutor's Office, which is involved in the process, requests two to three years of exclusion and a 10 million fine for Neymar, his father and mother; five years in prison, three disqualifications and a fine of 10 million for Sandro Rosell: a fine of 8.4 million for Barcelona and 1.4 for Santos and the N&N company owned by Neymar's parents. The prosecution does not seek anything against Bartomeu.
