In the World Cup without a team, who is the hero goalkeeper who stopped Spain?

Josimar Dias, known as Vozinha, was the main protagonist in the 0-0 draw between Cape Verde and Spain in the 2026 World Cup.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper produced a top-class performance, earning himself the man of the match award. Vozinha arrived at the World Cup without a team, having left GD Chaves in the Portuguese Second Division.

During his career, he has played for various clubs in Cape Verde, Angola, Moldova, Portugal, Cyprus and Slovakia. Since his debut with the national team on September 8, 2012, he has played 89 matches for his country.

In the match against Spain, he made seven saves, made a crucial clearance and won an aerial duel. He also completed 42 passes with an accuracy of 69 percent. His performance helped Cape Verde claim a historic point in their World Cup debut.
