Friendly, Albania defeated with a deep score

Albania U-19 played their first friendly match against Italy U-19 this afternoon. In the match held at Novarello Sporting Center, the team led by coach Julian Ahmataj was defeated with a score of 4-1.

The red and black coach started the challenge with this formation: Taho (GK), Avdullari, Sina, Gecaj, Shpuza, Gashi, Huqi, L. Krasniqi, B. Krasniqi, Arifi (C), Malaj.

The Reds took the lead thanks to a goal scored by Besalet Krasniqi in the 8th minute. But the Azzurri equalized three minutes later with Cama, and overturned the score in the 17th minute with Federico Coletta. The home team scored their third goal in the 41st minute with Artesani. Coach Ahmataj made two substitutions shortly before the end of the first half, bringing on El Malem and Sylejman. The first half ended with a 3-1 score for Italy.

The second half started well for the Italians, who scored the fourth goal with Atzeni. The Albanian coach intervened on the field in this faction as well, throwing in fresh forces like Duka, Hoxha and Lataj. However, until the end the result did not change, despite the efforts of our team.

The red and black team will play the second scheduled friendly match against Italy on Thursday at 11:00. These two matches are important in the framework of the preparations for the European qualifiers for this age group.
