Inter forgives Gjimshiti's mistake, the Blues end the year on top

Inter reacted immediately after the Super Cup defeat and ended 2025 at the top of the standings, defeating Atalanta 1-0 in the 17th week of Serie A.

The team led by Chivu maintained first place with 36 points, responding to the victories of their direct rivals.

In the first half, Inter controlled the game and created the best chances, but without finding the goal. Atalanta defended compactly and tried to counterattack. In the second half, Luis Henrique and Barella wasted two clear chances.

The decisive goal came in the 65th minute, when Lautaro took advantage of a mistake by Gjimshiti after an assist from Pio Esposito.

In the end, Samardzic missed the chance to equalize, while Inter managed the advantage until the final whistle.
