Failure at Manchester United doesn't stop Amorim from moving to the big club

A few months after being fired from Manchester United, Ruben Amorim is considering returning to the bench.

The 41-year-old is being seen as Jose Mourinho's successor at Benfica. This scenario hinges on the "Special One" possibly taking over as Portugal manager after the 2026 World Cup.

Amorim has a strong connection with the "Eagles", as he has played 154 matches with this club during his football career.

Benfica's management believe in his abilities, despite his record of 25 wins in 63 games at United. The coach's reputation remains high in Portugal thanks to his two previous league titles with Sporting.

This return would mark a sensational move that would change the balance of Lusitanian football.
