He played with pain, Etrit Berisha considers retiring from football

Etri Berisha's future in professional football remains unclear due to ongoing physical problems.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper, currently playing for Swedish club Haken, has revealed that he is experiencing severe back pain. According to him, the heavy workload of matches and the use of artificial grass pitches have negatively affected his health.

Berisha has admitted that he played last season while regularly taking medication. He has announced that he will undergo specialized medical checks in Norway.

Depending on the results, a departure from the current club is not ruled out. Also, the possibility of retiring from playing football remains open. During his career, Berisha has been part of the Albanian National Team for more than a decade.
