Statement on Real Madrid, Bayern Munich talent apologizes

Lennart Karl, the 17-year-old Bayern Munich talent, apologized for the statement stating that Real Madrid is his dream team.

The comment was made during a public meeting with the Bavarian club's fans and received widespread media and social media coverage. It was later revealed that Karl had previously undergone a trial at Real Madrid's academy but was not selected.

The reactions were strong, both within the club and in the German public. According to the media, the player officially apologized to the club and to those who felt offended.

Bayern CEO Max Eberl said the matter was now closed, while sporting director Christoph Freund confirmed that the player immediately realised his mistake.

Karl has a contract with Bayern until 2028 and has played 22 games this season, with 6 goals and 2 assists.
