Barcelona have fun with 5 goals, the Catalans march towards the title

Barcelona have restored their four-point lead at the top of La Liga after a convincing 5-2 victory over Sevilla at Camp Nou.

The match started at a fast pace for the Catalans, with Raphinha opening the scoring in the eighth minute with a penalty kick executed in the style of "Panenka". The Brazilian did not stop there, doubling the score again from the penalty spot a few minutes later. The dominance of the home team was confirmed by Dani Olmo, who scored the third goal after a quick counterattack, practically closing the accounts in the first half.

 Although Sevilla scored through Oso at the end of the first half, their hopes faded as soon as the second half began.

In the 51st minute, Raphinha completed his hat-trick after an assist from Fermín López, while Joao Cancelo sealed the deal with a goal after a personal incursion. Sevilla managed to score another goal through Djibril Sow in the final minutes of the match, but could not spoil the Blaugrana's celebration.

With this success, Barcelona records their 15th consecutive home win, their best run since 2019. The Catalans also continue their impressive record against Sevilla, remaining undefeated at home against them in their last 23 consecutive encounters.
