Valverde doesn't stop, Real Madrid wins with a goal

Real Madrid have scored an important 4-1 victory over Elche, keeping the race for the La Liga title alive.

Antonio Rüdiger and Federico Valverde scored the first two goals in the first half, confirming the home team's absolute dominance.

In the second half, defender Dean Huijsen extended the lead, while talented Arda Güler closed the scoring with a spectacular goal from distance.

Elche only managed to score thanks to an own goal by Manuel Ángel, but was unable to jeopardize the success of the Madrid team.

Coach Arbeloa used the second half to spare the starting lineup for the next Champions League match against Manchester City. With this result, Real Madrid moves to just one point behind Barcelona.

Elche continues its negative run of 11 matches without a win, remaining at the bottom of the table.
