Renowned doctor Erjon Dasho shared details about Ebola today, after the outbreak of this virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo led the World Health Organization to declare a global health emergency.

Speaking on A2 CNN, Dasho said that it is a virus that comes from animals and is an endemic disease in the African region.

According to the expert, Ebola has symptoms like other viruses, with headaches, muscle aches and fever.

Dasho added that this virus, if it worsens, can end with bleeding in the internal organs.

 "It is a virus that comes from animals, it is endemic in the African region. It is believed that bats have been the reservoir and what is known is that since their first isolation, there have been cases almost every year in central and western Africa. It is a disease that causes internal bleeding. The beginnings are similar to other viruses, with headaches, muscle pain and fever. But, in fatal cases, they deteriorate very quickly and are followed by vomiting and diarrhea, ending with bleeding from internal organs", - said Dasho. /CNA
