The sad story of Kalo Kalaj/ the 58-year-old appeals to the Municipality: Help

CNA brings today a sad case of Kalo Kalaj, a 58-year-old resident of Dragot Tepelen village.

After a serious accident from which he lost his ability to work and earn a living, Kalo tells CNA that he has no social support and receives only 7,000 Lek pension.

Kalaj says that this money is not enough to provide medicine or food.

The 58-year-old appealed to the authorities to provide him with an apartment where he can live with his wife, food and the necessary conditions he needs to live, but the Municipality has not given him any assistance.

"I am disabled. I live here, I had an accident in Tirana 3 years ago and I have a prosthesis. I have no other income. I receive 7000 new lek. I live with my wife here in the open sky. I have nowhere else to live. My house collapsed. With a pension of 7000 lek, I can't do it anymore. Look, the society gives me dry bread and that's what I live for. The wife is unemployed. We live with my money. We asked for help from the municipality, but they did not give it to us. I am asking for help in a house to put my head in because 7,000 lek is not enough to live on because I am crippled, if I were correct I would not ask. In April, the camp is expected for me.
