Molecular genetics researcher Merita Vila Xjetani has said that it is intended that each individual with cancer be treated specifically according to the genes they have.

In the show "Good Morning Albanians" in Euronea Albania, she said that in terms of human molecular genetics related to the disease we present, we have some specifics related to the frequencies and mutations that affect the closest genetic diseases.

"For example, for beta thalassemia, we have a spectrum of mutations that we know and have brought from European countries that resemble the closest countries, such as Crete, Greece or Italy. Genetics specifies at the personalized level, and cancer genetics does not aim to explore patterns of how cancer is diagnosed. And in a person, when the mutation that caused it, the clones that it formed, is diagnosed at the genetic level, this individual is treated in a specialized way," she said./CNA.al
