Opposition candidate for Tirana Municipality/ Boçi: A name that is both political and public
The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luçiano Boçi, ...

Democratic councilor of the Municipality of Tirana, Dorian Teliti, spoke in a television appearance about the dismissal of Erion Veliaj from his position as mayor.
Teliti said that Veliaj's dismissal was inevitable and should have been caused earlier due to numerous corruption scandals.
Further, the DP advisor said that Veliaj's dismissal at this moment came as a result of the internal war within the Socialists.
" The dismissal was inevitable, it was simply a matter of time. Veliaj should have been dismissed for many damages and corruption affairs. The last one should have been dismissed for 3 months. We were the first to demand his dismissal. These months cost Tirana a lot. Better late than never. This is the internal war within the Socialist Party that raised its head. This silent debate one beautiful day yielded results. The objective was the removal of Erion Veliaj. We needed the votes of the majority, the order came, the votes were combined. Today Veliaj is no longer mayor ," said Teliti.
