Riots in the session/ Balla: Nothing new from the eastern front

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, gave a statement to journalists outside the Parliament, where he also spoke about today's plenary session. Balla said that there was nothing new from the Democrats, as according to him, these are expected.

"Nothing new from the eastern front. I was thinking today, exactly 8 years ago, of the same scene in the Albanian Parliament. That day, Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku was elected. Today, the People's Advocate, voted for by the Democratic Party, was sworn in. Every time it seems that the protests have no participation, they set fire to the Parliament. Albanians know who is leading these images that harm Albania. Let the dogs bark, the caravan moves forward," said Balla.

Furthermore, he welcomed the EU's decision to lift measures against Kosovo.

"I congratulate the EU's decision to lift some of the measures against Kosovo. Every time Kosovo has a holiday, from '91 until today, Saliu does a disservice to Albania ," said the head of the SP group. /CNA
