"Health in a coma, education in crisis"/ Teliti: The 2026 budget goes

The Advisor for Economic Affairs at the Democratic Party, Dorjan Teliti, today described the 2026 budget as a budget that puts healthcare in a coma and education in crisis.

Through a post on social media, Teliti states that next year's budget does not finance knowledge and health, but poverty and emigration.

"Budget 2026: healthcare in a coma, education in crisis!"

Health and education, the two main pillars of a successful society, continue to be left at the bottom of the list, while hundreds of millions of euros are poured into completely different directions, into luxuries and PPPs.

Although 5% of GDP financing was promised, the reality continues to be quite different even in the 2026 draft budget.

? 2.9% of GDP funding for health.

2.5% of GDP funding for education.

13 years of beautiful promises, but the reality today speaks of hospitals without medicines, doctors leaving, and schools without teachers and students!
