Politician Dashamir Shehi shared his opinion regarding the opposition-backed candidate for Tirana Mayor, Florjan Binaj.

Invited to A2CNN, Shehi said he expected the opposition to make a better choice for the race for the capital.

Shehi added that the candidate for the Municipality of Tirana representing the opposition should be a figure who unites the entire party.

"To be honest, I am not satisfied with the choices made by the opposition. Those who are in the opposition vote for better or worse, I cannot vote for the other side for much deeper reasons. But I am not satisfied. I thought they would make a better choice. Because when investing in the municipality of Tirana, it is invested with the idea that these are people who will leave a political mark from behind.

It doesn't seem very fair to me. Because this man, good or bad, should be someone who will unite us. Even if the elections are lost by a long shot, he will raise the result of Tirana. This is not about passing the line. There are others who will curse me tomorrow and say what this guy says, but I'm saying what I think. Absolutely, that guy may be wonderful, but for his own job, for his own craft, but he's not for this job.

This job where I know, once an orange with Ed Rama, once a pizza with Veliaj, and these things, now I said it Tirana deserves a little more. It's not that the opposition didn't have the people. But if you call it an experiment, I don't think it's very serious for the elections. I'm not into humor, it's a very serious profession.
