Fuel prices/ Minister Malaj meets with Taxes and Customs: Focus on strengthening

The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, announced that a meeting was held with the heads of the tax and customs administrations.

Through a post on social media, Malaj announced that the focus of the meeting was strengthening control and transparency mechanisms in the fuel market.

Further, the minister said that monitoring and coordination of responsible structures will be increased in order to guarantee a fair market.

 

" We held a working meeting with the heads of the tax and customs administration to discuss strengthening control mechanisms and transparency in the fuel market."

The focus of the discussion was on increasing institutional monitoring and coordinating responsible structures, with the aim of guaranteeing a fair market, preventing abuses and protecting the interests of citizens.

"The Ministry of Finance remains committed to strengthening fiscal discipline, increasing transparency and building a sustainable economy for the country ," Malaj writes./CNA
