Berisha meets German official: Determined in the European integration project

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, hosted a meeting today with senior German official Peter Bayer.

In a statement to the media, Berisha said that he acquainted the official with the opposition's views on recent developments in the country, while expressing that the democrats are committed to the project of integrating the country into Europe, as the best project for the country's future.

"I informed him of all the opposition's views on these developments and assured him that we remain committed to the project of Albania's integration into Europe, as the best project, the project for the best future of Albania and Albanians. Of course, I also informed him of the great, serious, very great obstacles, the state of complete blockage of the justice system, the drug cartels and their enormous power due to connections at the highest levels and other difficulties that we face, but also of our determination to continue efforts in this country to realize the projects we have," Berisha said. /CNA
