SP rejected SPAK's request for Balluk/Këlliçi: Albania did not

DP MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted after the rejection of SPAK's request to lift Balluk's immunity by the SP.

Këlliçi emphasizes that Rama maintained his immunity from justice through the force of cartoons.

According to him, by choosing to protect his corrupt affairs, and by protecting his closest associate, Edi Rama challenged justice and the country's European integration, and took another step in escalating political tension in the country.

Këlliçi underlined that this act is a decision against Albania, just so that Edi Rama can keep his chair and his skin.

"Edi Rama decided today to maintain immunity from justice with the strength of the cards he has in the Assembly. Edi Rama told all Albanians that he is above the law and is not equal to the citizens. By choosing to protect his corrupt affairs, and by protecting his closest associate, Edi Rama challenged justice and the country's European integration, and took another step in escalating political tension in the country.

This act is a decision against Albania, just so that Edi Rama can keep his chair and his skin. It was clearly proven today that his stances and vows for justice have been low propaganda that fell apart at the very first opportunity when the investigation went to his antechamber.

With the decision he announced today, Edi Rama concluded the obstruction of justice, a course that began on the first day when the request for the arrest of Belinda Balluku arrived at the Parliament.

All the delays and continuous attacks on SPAK culminated in today's decision to reject the request of the Special Anti-Corruption Structure.

Albania did not pass the critical test, as Brussels called it, today.

It is now clear to everyone. Edi Rama is ready to take his country and his future hostage, to escape justice, to escape the prison that awaits him.

"It is up to the citizens, it is up to the Albanians to have the last word. On March 12, we unite in front of the Parliament, and declare that Albania is not the spoils of a corrupt prime minister linked to crime and cartels," writes Këlliçi./ CNA
