"This system must disappear"/ Bylykbashi: Electoral and Territorial

Democratic MP Oerd Bylykbashi today spoke extensively about the opposition's perspective on several reforms in the country.

In a television studio, Bylykbashi said that real dialogue is needed for 'Electoral' and 'Territorial', without resorting to trickery in such an important political process.

"The situation that determines electoral and territorial reform depends on developments in the functioning of the state. We cannot talk about reforms isolated from what is happening in Albania today."

A consensus behind closed doors can be good, but it can also be bad. There was no real dialogue. The way the Ombudsman was selected showed this. The DP had canceled the signatures, but Rama used them and manipulated a very important political process.

The relationship between the ruling party and the state has been destroyed, and with this, any electoral process dies. This is also the main concern of the ODIHR. We need new rules.

"This system must disappear. The opposition benefits, Rama loses, but someone has to lose. This does not matter, what matters is building a fair electoral process," Bylykbashi said./CNA
