Two words about Prime Minister Kurti's visit to North Macedonia

The phobia towards the name of the immortal Adem Demaç is hurtful not only for Albanians. The statement of the incorrigible Albanophobe Vucic is reprehensible.

Dear friends, Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti visited the municipalities of Tetova and Çairi in Skopje in North Macedonia at the weekend at the invitation of the local governors. In Tetovo Mr. Kurti solemnly pledged to the local governors, but also thousands and thousands of citizens for the construction of the Sharr Tunnel and the highway that connects Tetova with Prizren, a project that is extremely important for Tetova and Western Macedonia, as it not only brings the two cities of Prizren and Tetova very close , but also shortens the distance Tetovo-Pristina and Tetovo-Tirana by 2-3 times, I hope that this project will be realized as soon as possible. While in Çaire Municipality in Skopje, Mr. Kurti participated in the ceremony organized by the local government for the naming of a street in that municipality after Adem Demaçi, for which he congratulated the local authorities.

The informal visit to North Macedonia also raised some unnecessary problems of protocol and symbols which should be avoided due to the sensitivities that exist in the territories of this region. But I don't want to get into the controversy that accompanied the informal visit of Mr. Albin Kurti in North Macedonia, in the municipalities of Tetova and Çairi in Skopje, nor in the interpretations and claims of the Albanian political forces and the local and central official authorities of the country. But I consider it important for the positive role of the Albanian factor, keeping open relations regardless of party preferences and orientations with all Albanian political forces in the region and avoiding the deepening of a divisive process that Edi Rama, as soon as he came to power, started with political forces in Kosovo and then continued in North Macedonia. The useless protocol clashes of this visit with official Macedonian authority have originated the anti-historic alignment of Skopje and official Tirana in a trilateral alliance with Belgrade in the Serbian project of the Open Balkans with which Kurti did not agree and has the indisputable merit of his opposition and supporting instead the Berlin process. I think that the continuation of the support of the Open Balkans is a continuation of the further division that the Serbian-Russian project of the Open Balkans brought and should be seriously considered by the authorities of North Macedonia, since the main victims of Serbo-Macedonia in the region would be the Albanians and Macedonians .

But what struck me in this story is the reaction of the president of North Macedonia to the naming of a street in Chair after Adem Demaç, the Mandela of Europe, the tribune of freedom, laureate of the Sakharov Prize of the European Parliament. Adem Demaçi, with his epic 28-year stay in the prisons and camps of communist, titist Yugoslavia, is a true tribune of freedom not only for Albanians, but also for Macedonians, Montenegrins, Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks and Slovenians and all freedom-loving citizens of to all the nations that experienced the brutal oppression of totalitarian communist regimes. In this context, President Pendarovski's negative reaction to this act that did honor to Skopje,

In addition to these, I strongly condemn the reaction of the incorrigible albanophobe, the Serbian Aleksandër Vu?i?, to the visit of Mr. Kurtit in North Macedonia. The president of Serbo-Madhya, Vu?i?, called Kurti's visit the scandal of scandals, thus intervening to damage the relations between the two neighboring and independent countries. With his paternalistic attitude towards the neighboring independent and sovereign country, he proves that he wants to play the role of gendarme of the region from an ultra-nationalist Serbian position.

It calls on the international community to condemn such paternalistic interventions by the president of Serbia, which are aimed at increasing tensions and worsening relations between neighbors in the region. Kosovo and North Macedonia are two neighboring friendly countries inextricably linked by thousands of bridges and threads. They have every instrument and opportunity to resolve any misunderstanding or contradiction themselves through dialogue and without the role or malicious intervention of little Putin in Belgrade or his argot in Tirana. #sb
