R'Bonney Gabriel nga Shtetet e Bashkuara të Amerikës mori mbrëmjen e djeshme kurorën e më të bukurës në edicionin e 71-të të Miss Universe.

Konkursi u mbajt në Neë Orleans, ku konkuruan 84 vajza dhe gra nga e gjithë bota.

Vendin e dytë e fitoi Miss Venezuela, Amanda Dudamel dhe vendin e tretë Miss Republika Domenikane, Andreina Martinez.

Gabriel, e cila rrëmbeu kurorën e më të bukurës, ishte filipino-amerikania e parë që fitoi Miss USA vitin e kaluar.

28-vjeçarja nga Houston është modele, stiliste dhe ka linjën e saj të veshjeve. Gjatë konkurimit në Miss Universe ajo dha mesazhe të forta për pjesëmarrjen e nënave në konkursin e bukurisë.

"Për mua, do të doja të shihja një rritje të moshës sepse jam 28 vjeç. Dhe kjo është mosha më e madhe për të konkuruar dhe mendoj se është një gjë e bukur. Citati im i preferuar është "nëse jo tani, atëherë kur?" Sepse si grua, besoj se mosha nuk na përcakton. Nuk është nesër, nuk është dje, por është tani. Koha është tani", tha ajo.
