The Chapel at the Durrës Amphitheater 

In the Durrës Amphitheater, after the games were interrupted, the construction of a small chapel (chapel) was noted, which dates back to the 5th-6th centuries.

This church served the Christian inhabitants of the city for their religious and funeral ceremonies. Since its construction, it has been decorated with mural paintings.

Several phases of intervention have been identified in this object, including those in the 6th-7th centuries.

This church remains one of the city's important cultural attractions and one of the important stops for visitors to the Durrës Amphitheater.
