A special exhibition of Bibles has opened to the public at the National Library of Albania.

The "Bible Collection" exhibition is a rare journey into the world of sacred books and manuscripts that have marked centuries of culture.

The exhibition brings to the public for the first time an impressive number of rare Bibles, over 100 of them, printed in Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece and beyond, dating back five centuries, from the mid-15th to the 19th century.

From Bible translations by Buzuku, Budi and Bogdani, to Renaissance figures and great figures such as Kristoforidhi, Qiriazi, Fan Noli and Dom Simon Filipaj, to the efforts of the English Bible Society in the 19th century, the exhibition combines history, culture and written heritage.

The exhibition will remain open every day until December 19, 2025. /CNA
