The fire in Mirdita/ Intervening with a helicopter

The fires in the Fan and Orosh administrative units of Mirdi Municipality continue to be active.

The Cougar helicopter and about 60 members of the Armed Forces have joined the efforts to extinguish the fires that are developing in an area of ??pine and bushes.

Together with employees of local structures, fire-fighting vehicles, the operational forces have concentrated their work on keeping the fire away from the houses in the villages of Xhuxhe, Shengjin and Petoq, of the Fan administrative unit, on the road that goes to Shengjin.

Firefighters from the municipalities of Tirana and Kamza are also assisting these forces with their vehicles.

Other forces are working to contain the fires in the other 5 active outbreaks in Kurbin, Kukës, Vlorë, Shkodër and Korçë, where the situation is under control./ CNA
