8 kilograms of cannabis in the form of a bottle were seized

In implementation of the measures defined in the national operational plan "Clean Territory", for the prevention, identification and attack of the cultivation of narcotic plants, as well as following the successive attacks on this criminal activity, the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the subordinate police stations of her, the controls have been intensively followed in very difficult mountainous terrains throughout the territory of the district.

During the controls, based on the footage obtained during drone monitoring as well as police intelligence, it was possible to dispose of 3,459 narcotic cannabis plants and seize an amount of 8,256 kg of cannabis in the form of bottles.

Specifically, in the village of Kasnec, during the control of the territory in the yard and in the vicinity of the residence of the citizen NQ, 66 years old, 8.265 kg of dry suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa in the form of a bottle were found and seized as material evidence.

For this case, the Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Sector in DVP Shkodër declared the 66-year-old citizen and his 17-year-old son wanted.

Meanwhile, the operation continued with controls in difficult terrain.

- By the services of the Shkodër Police Commissariat, 1160 more cannabis plants were destroyed in the territories of the administrative units of Pult, Shosh and Postribë;

-From the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat, 691 cannabis plants were destroyed in the territory of the Kelmend administrative unit;

- While the services of the Vau i Deja Police Station were destroyed in the territory of the Shllak administrative unit, 1,608 cannabis plants;

The work continues for the identification, capture and prosecution of the perpetrators of the cultivation of these narcotic plants./ CNA
