The police have disclosed the injury registered on Saturday morning in Kavaja.

The Blues have identified the author of the wounding of the 55-year-old IK as the citizen with the initials A. Sh.

The 22-year-old stabbed the 55-year-old and fled the scene by car. But after several hours of checks, it was possible to arrest the young man.

"Following the actions carried out by the investigative group, to identify the perpetrator and clarify the circumstances of the event that occurred on 17.02.2024, in neighborhood no. 5, Kavajë, where he was hit with a cutting tool (knife), citizen IK, 55 years old, who is in the hospital, out of danger for his life, it has become possible to identify the suspected author of this event.

The services of the Kavajë Police Station, after several hours of checks in the area to catch the perpetrator, have located, captured and arrested the citizen A. Sh., 22 years old, the suspected perpetrator of the wounding of the 55-year-old.

Also, the Police services seized the cutting tool (knife) with which he is suspected to have committed the injury, as well as the vehicle with which the 22-year-old left the scene.

The procedural materials will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions", the police announcement states./ CNA
